Radiopaque root-canal sealer Without Silver

Properties

This sealer is manufactured according to Rickertʼs formula (see above) but does not include precipitated Silver. This avoids any risk of staining the teeth but, on the other hand, it also reduces the bactericidal action of the paste.

Indications

• Permanent sealing of the root canal
• Sealer which can be used with all types of endodontic points (Gutta- Percha, Acrylic, Silver or Titanium).

Composition

Powder : Zinc Oxide 41.2 %, Thymol Iodide 12.8 %, Rosin 16.0 %, Radiopaque excipient ad 100%

Liquid : Oil of Cloves 78 %, Canada Balsam 22 %

Radiopaque bactericidal root-canal sealer

PROPERTIES

Mixed to a paste, this cement provides a very suitable material for permanent root-canal sealing and filling. To all intents and purposes, it fulfills practically every criteria as an ideal sealer.
It is non-irritant, dimensionally stable, radiopaque and does not dissolve in the tissue fluids. Moreover it adapts well to the canal, is easy to shape and to remove.

CAUTION

Due to the presence of precipitated Silver, this sealer can stain and should, therefore, only be used in posterior teeth.
