Cavity Liner Paste
Ready-to-use, radiopaque, pre-mixed paste
PROPERTIES
Calcium Hydroxide Paste "Cavity Liner" is a creamy paste used as a liner or as a temporary dressing. Due to its alkaline pH (~12), Calcium Hydroxide neutralizes the free acids of the obturating cements and of the restorative materials. It reduces the hypersensitivity of the dentine and helps the neoformation of secondary dentine.
INDICATIONS
As a liner :
- pulp capping on vital pulp (indirect capping)
- capping after pulpotomy (direct capping)
- cavity lining before filling As a dressing
- root-canal treatment and periapical therapy.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of paste contains 540 mg Calcium Hydroxide and 70 mg Barium Sulfate in a Methylcellulose base
